APRIL 2022
Volunteer at the 10th Annual LEI Program!
Join in on the fun and get a certificate for volunteer hours! ClimbHI is looking for positive individuals with an interest in helping Hawaii's youth and building their social capital by engaging with many of Hawai'i's businesses. Volunteers will be provided with a shirt, meals, and will be reimbursed for parking charges. They can hang out all day or come for a shorter time frame from 7:45am-11:30am or 12pm-3pm. Students will be able to take advantage of the career fair happening around 1pm-3pm.
On April 5, 2022, ClimbHI and the Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority (HTA) will kick off the 10th annual LEI program on Oʻahu. LEI is an HTA-sponsored workforce development project to inspire Hawaiʻi youth to select careers in the Hawaiʻi visitor industry by providing them with the necessary means to achieve success. LEI represents an opportunity for Leadership, Exploration, and Inspiration, and from the hospitality industry’s perspective LEI provides an opportunity to Lead, Expose, and Inspire Hawaiʻi’s youth. LEI 2022 will take place on four different islands (Maui, Oʻahu, Kauaʻi, and the Big Island). O'ahu’s program will include 500 high school and college students from over 20 schools across Oʻahu.
